Meet Riotech’s IID

RioTech’s IID (Intelligent Interface Device) platform brings safety and reliability to rail-traffic interconnection operations. With its ability to handle any transit signal priority and/or preemption, IID allows for flexibility to work with existing equipment while enhancing operations.

Installation within the traffic cabinet enables the IID to handle all\ interconnected circuits from the rail equipment, apply logic, and run the appropriate calls accordingly for traffic.

Key Features

  • Four (4) card slots for adding I/O and remote communications to expand and fit the application.

  • SDLC port communications : Monitors all activity on the SDLC bus from both primary and auxiliary devices. Allows for status sensing of track clearance phases and transit signal priority phases.

  • 168MHz processor provides more than enough computing power to tackle even the most demanding tasks.

  • Pre-fabricated wiring harnesses and termination board allow for ease of wire routing and installation.

  • Driverless USB interface allows for easy IID programming and setup.

  • The IIDs Ethernet module enables logging (CSV format), remote access, back office requests, headway status updates, and peer to peer communications to other networked IIDs. Remotely hosts all status data via Modbus TCP, including traffic signal data for transparent field data in real time.

  • Self-monitoring for reliability: The IID maintains operational integrity through closed-loop feedback, continuously verifying all I/O and interconnection performance.

  • Handles preempt and priority calls with ease, supporting multiple operation plans with logical building blocks. (AND, OR, Timers, Latches, 2nd Train Logic, Estimated Arrival Time, Supervisor Logic, etc.)
